Mr. Heminger is chairman of the board and chief executive officer of the general partner of Andeavor Logistics LP. He is also chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Marathon Petroleum Corporation and MPLX GP LLC.
Mr. Heminger joined Marathon in 1975. His more than 40 years with Marathon include experience in a variety of groups and functions. In addition to five years in various financial and administrative roles, he spent three years in London, United Kingdom, as audit supervisor of the Brae Project. He worked with Emro Marketing, the predecessor of Speedway, for eight years in several marketing and commercial roles. In 1991, Mr. Heminger was named vice president of Emro Marketing's Western Division. From 1995 to 1996, he served as president of Marathon Pipe Line Company. He assumed the position of manager, Business Development and Joint Interest of Marathon Oil Company in November 1996. Mr. Heminger was named vice president of Business Development for Marathon Ashland Petroleum1 upon its formation in January 1998, and was named senior vice president, Business Development in 1999. In January 2001, he was named executive vice president, Supply, Transportation and Marketing. Mr. Heminger was appointed president of Marathon Petroleum Company LLC2, a wholly owned subsidiary of Marathon, in September 2001. In addition, he was named executive vice president – Downstream of Marathon Oil Corporation and served as a member of Marathon’s Executive Committee. He was named president and chief executive officer of Marathon Petroleum Corporation on July 1, 2011, and chairman of the board in 2016.
Mr. Heminger earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Tiffin University in 1976 while already employed by Marathon Oil Company in Findlay, Ohio. He earned a master's degree in business administration from the University of Dayton, Ohio, in 1982. He is a graduate of the Wharton School Advanced Management Program at the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Heminger is past-chairman of the board of trustees of Tiffin University. He serves on the boards of directors and executive committees of the American Petroleum Institute (API) and American Fuel & Petrochemicals Manufacturers Association (AFPM). He also serves on the boards of directors of Fifth Third Bancorp and PPG Industries, Inc. Mr. Heminger is a member of the Board of Trustees of The Ohio State University and a member of the Oxford Institute for Energy Studies.
Mr. Sorensen is president of the general partner of Andeavor Logistics LP.
Mr. Sorensen began his career with Shell Oil. He joined Andeavor in 1998 where he held various roles in economics, scheduling, processing engineering and capital projects at the Anacortes refinery. Mr. Sorensen held a series of positions of increasing responsibility including, West Coast regional business manager, Commercial Marketing business manager, vice president, Wholesale Marketing, vice president, Refining for the Salt Lake City refinery and vice president, Refining for the Anacortes refinery. He has led cross-functional synergy and acquisition integration projects for BP Southern California assets and QEP Field Services. In 2015, Mr. Sorensen was named senior vice president of the general partner of Andeavor Logistics and assumed his current position in 2018.
Mr. Sorensen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering and petroleum refining from Colorado School of Mines and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Utah.
Ms. Gagle is general counsel of the general partner of Andeavor Logistics LP. She is also general counsel of Marathon Petroleum Corporation and MPLX GP LLC.
Ms. Gagle began her career with Marathon in 1992 as a staff attorney. After various assignments in the Law organization, she transferred to Marathon Ashland Pipe Line LLC in 2002. In 2003, Ms. Gagle returned to the Law organization as group counsel, litigation, and in 2010 was promoted to senior group counsel, downstream operations. She was appointed assistant general counsel, litigation and Human Resources in 2011. In 2012, Ms. Gagle led the legal team in an initial public offering of common units representing limited partner interests in MPC’s master limited partnership, MPLX LP. She was named vice president and general counsel of MPC in 2016 and assumed her current position in 2018.
Ms. Gagle earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Toledo in 1987 and Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1992. She completed the Executive Development Program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in 2013.
Ms. Gagle currently serves on the board of director of the Blanchard Valley Health Foundation and as a member of the University of Toledo paralegal studies advisory board. She is a former Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio board member.
Ms. Benson is vice president, chief securities, governance and compliance officer and corporate secretary of the general partner of Andeavor Logistics LP. She is also vice president, chief securities, governance and compliance officer and corporate secretary for Marathon Petroleum Corporation and MPLX GP LLC.
Ms. Benson began her career with Marathon as a tax attorney in 1998. She was named Government Affairs manager in 2001 and joined the Law organization as an operations attorney in 2003. Ms. Benson was promoted to senior attorney, downstream business in 2006 and to group counsel, North American production for Marathon Oil Company in Houston in 2010. Ms. Benson was named Marathon Petroleum Corporation group counsel, Law - Corporate and Finance in 2011 and assistant general counsel, Law - Corporate and Finance in 2012. She assumed her current position in 2016.
Ms. Benson graduated from The Ohio State University in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Toledo College of Law in 1997. She completed the Executive Development Program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in 2014.
Ms. Benson currently serves on the board of counselors for the University of Findlay and the board of directors for the Hancock Properties Foundation.
Ms. Kazarian is vice president, Investor Relations of the general partner of Andeavor Logistics LP. She is also vice president, Investor Relations of Marathon Petroleum Corporation and MPLX GP LLC.
Prior to joining Marathon Petroleum in 2018, Ms. Kazarian was a managing director and head of the MLP, Midstream, and Refining Equity Research teams at Credit Suisse. She also worked at Deutsche Bank where she started as a director and was eventually promoted to managing director of MLP, Midstream, and Natural Gas Equity Research. Her career began at Fidelity Management & Research Company where she served as an analyst specializing on various energy industry subsectors.
Ms. Kazarian graduated from Wellesley College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and political science. She also earned a Master of Business Administration in finance and strategic management from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Peery is vice president, accounting and systems integration (principal financial officer and principal accounting officer) of the general partner of Andeavor Logistics LP.
Mr. Peery began his career at PwC, where he spent two years as a staff auditor in the energy practice. He joined Celanese, a global chemical company, in 1992, where he spent more than 20 years in a variety of progressively responsible roles. Mr. Peery held accounting and business planning and analysis roles in Celanese’s various businesses including commodity chemicals, advanced materials, fine chemicals, films and fibers, and corporate headquarters. He relocated many times to various production and office facilities, including an expatriate assignment to Germany. Mr. Peery held cross-functional roles, including vice president, supply chain, and vice president, global business services, where he led large teams across three continents including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and general accounting. Mr. Peery also worked for Mylan, a global pharmaceutical company, where he served as vice president, global business services which included finance, HR, and IT shared services. He joined Andeavor in 2015 as vice president, process excellence and chief information officer, and was named vice president, controller in 2016. He assumed his current position in 2018, and was named principal financial officer in 2019.
Mr. Peery holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Texas at Austin and is a certified public accountant (CPA), a certified management accountant (CMA) and certified in financial management (CFM).
Mr. Peery is a former board member of Ibn Sina, a Saudi Arabian joint-venture, as well as KEPCO, a Korean joint-venture. He was also previously a member of the Supply Chain Advisory Board, Texas Christian University, Neeley School of Business. Mr. Peery has been an invited speaker to Deloitte shared services conferences, Shared Services Link conferences, KPMG oil and gas conferences, SAP oil and gas conferences, and an SAP MaxAttention summit.
